Another thought I had on warp in: What if the warp in target could be outside the blue area; units would appear at the nearest warp point and then move towards the target point. Might need to be a modifier key to be less dangerous to new players. Or…

I believe you could create a party of three and then all join the same team in a custom match with bots. Not as convenient as a form of matchmaking, but possible.

I suppose I should actually say what I feel about RTS. Mostly I think I like watching multiple fronts and distributing forces between them to make or defend pushes. This might be a different game though - that style of play may require slower relati…

Ability power applies to things tagged Magicial, which is generally spells, with some exceptions. Conduits, for example, have a magical auto-attack.

You can view and change the keyboard settings from the options when you are in-game (and maybe in the unit picker) You might want to go into a single-player custom match so you can swap between spending time in the options and trying things out.

I feel similar. Your feedback will have more weight if you can spell out elements of RTS you enjoy. How does it feel when you do those things in your favorite RTS, and how is that different from how you feel in GoA?

On the minimap I sometimes read the circle in the archive icon as a unit icon.

Click anywhere to exit still seems to be click the bottom to exit. Maybe I just need to master multiple groups, but I often have issues with order of battle. Especially in the early game, I want the hero tanking for more fragile units, and this tak…

Looks like levels could be divided by five. (useless multiples are a slight pet peeve of mine) If this pattern sticks, a visual representation of basic/ult upgrades might be clearer yet. UI: I have to search for my current level a bit. May improve …

I did notice a larger area on Vex's basic in a later bot game. The other day on the deck picker, I saw the hero/t1 lock icon and my first thought was that the the units were locked in an available/not sense. Perhaps a chain, knot, or something else…

Gameplay has been pretty solid. I think I need to back off my shard focus a bit; I'm running into more situations where I need to rebuild and have no energy. I also end up with a lot of shards if I'm really pushing it, and need to keep on top of upg…

Warp towers are interesting. Removes the uncertainty about where I can spawn at the current time. Between warps and heals there is definitely some feedback on the losing team. Critter attack seemed to work okay - would usually prefer enemies, but s…

"Coming Soon" so that's what C stands for ;^) I volunteer (btw "over the next couple days" I'll be out of town)

The resource icons don't read well on the deck picker. It's nice to see some extra unit detail; there were a lot of things that showed up in the perspective shots used as button background which weren't very visible in game. I didn't notice a parti…

Unit picker: Bar charts are cool, but I feel that the benefits are visually separated from the costs. Don't know if it would be useful to make those bars as well. Third time into the picker I confused Pick/Confirm and got a build I didn't want. Pe…

Third game as Eris mass supply worked much better. Had surplus energy and even made T3. Was able to split hero to a gem region a few times. I was low in the kill count though.
-
Lots of 3v3 in the middle. The asymmetry in areas is interesting, although I'm equally bad at taking all of them. Tried the opposite of last time - went full energy/supply (Ryme and Alder). My kill counts were higher, but I never actually got full …

I actually enjoyed the "down time" because I was able to go poke a tower and directly engage with a minor objective instead of waiting for the game systems to do it for me.

Heros can get path-pushed off of capture zones by misc unit movements, especially with bots wandering around. This is more fragile than before; in the previous version if you were a little off-center, you'd still be able to gather one side. Much be…

Aquadillos didn't seem terribly effective by themselves, might work better with other units or teamwork. They had some staying power, so maybe if we weren't losing and outnumbered they would have held up better. I didn't find Celesta with default u…

I've been meaning to say for a while: When there are more than two armies in a fight (and increasing proportionally with more armies) I often need to look at the minimap to figure out if we are winning or not, and where I am relative to allies and e…

Felt like as Rhyme I got crushed by Alder, and as Alder I got crushed by Eris. My game with Grath featured a lot of dying; seemed to do okay about when batterhorns came out (and/or defense upgrades) even though I misused the charge a lot, and haven…

Weird - this topic isn't showing up recent discussions.

Grath felt helpless. Batterhorns seemed okay the little I got to use them, but we were too far behind to support them. Strangely scuttleguards were awful to play against, yet terrible to play with; never even got to aquadillos since was building so…
-
Huh. I tried rearranging units on the card selector, but it wasn't moving the hotkeys, just putting overlaps in red. I guess I should have tried launching the game to see if I could get my prime abilities on easy keys.

Game 1: Alder, felt pretty good. I focused on seedbots/tenders, and had great survivability, never being short on stock. Pathing hiccup by central fountain just after 17:00 G1ae3343e120f4c70ae2d0e7d23079a67 Game 2: Played Celesta with a focus on z…

I don't get melee. Did poorly as Hydros and absolutely wrecked as Grath. I'm always behind on supply, but whenever I build supply, I end up burning all my generators on energy, and often unable to build it out. If there is only one Windray, could …

Two games. First as Hydros I didn't feel good about. Got a few good quadrapus supports, but I felt conflicted about being up front to tank, and in back to buff my allies. One answer of course is to practice multiple group management so I can split …

@Lef I had network issues with one game but web browsing was fine; went away when I changed my router (firmware change also helped) Not certain, but maybe something to try if you've got one you can borrow to test with, or from a different location.

Another crazy idea to be thrown away: the build time tradeoffs of techs are significant enough that I wonder if we could dump resources entirely and make build time/slot the main cost. Camps and such that grant resources could instead grant supply, …
