By the way, what exactly are "Ability Power" and "Magical Resist" ?
Ability power improves the damage and healing done by abilities by that value. So 20% AP means a 100-damage spell will now do 120.
Magical Resist reduces the damage you take from Magical effects (which are mostly abilities). Shift-tab will show you what your reduction% is with your current MR value. The equation is
Resist% = MR / (MR + 100)
So 100 MR = 50% reduction (as 100/200=0.5)
So ability power doesn't impact non-damage parts, based on what you're saying? e.g. getting ability power boost on Glacial Rangers doesn't make Cold Snap slow more?
Correct; it doesn't currently use coefficients to calculate other values, just damage and healing.
Do the passive bonuses on items only apply to the hero or all units for that player?
Edit: Clarification: do the bonuses apply to the units NOT in direct proximity to the Hero, or if the Hero is dead?
