Playtest 202: AtlasBall, Farms, Other Adjustments
General Gameplay
Atlasball
- Added goal nets behind either nexus, and a neutral “Sports Cube” to the center of the map.
- Heroes may now attack the Sports Cube
- When a Worker attacks a Sports Cube, the Sports Cube is moved in the worker’s facing direction.
- If a Sports Cube touches a goal net, the non-owning team gains a point!
- Earning a point grants you a really accomplished feeling and your parents will take you out for pizza afterwards.
- At the conclusion of the game, each player will receive a Participation Trophy.
Farms
- Farms have been added to each player's main base
- Players may cultivate a harvest of their choosing (chosen in Squad Selection)
- Players may trade the outputs of their farms to other players for Coin or Scrap
- Alder is 300% more effective at cultivating their farm.
- Hydros cultivates farms at 200% the normal rate, decreasing to -200% over the course of the game (as he begins flooding the farm)
- Vex can destroy players' farms by Igniting them
Game Client
- Input devices
- Now supports Game Controllers
- Now supports Dance Pads
- No longer supports keyboard & mouse
Audio
- Summer Samba has been re-added to the game lobby.
- Summer Samba has been re-removed from the game lobby.
- Creating a Juggernaut causes “The Final Countdown” to play
- This feature is currently only active in Europe
Squads
Alder
- Bramblethorn Goliaths may now eat plants grown on farms. No buffs, but they're yummy!
Celesta
- Wisp
- Can now harvest Coin from nearby Gold Mines and Scrap from nearby Trees
- Has resolved its identity crisis!
- Purifier
- Now removes all debuffs from units it kills.
- And buffs. And health.
- Now removes all debuffs from units it kills.
Grath
- Grath, Primitive Engineer
- No longer developed on modern technology
- Now only pickable on Windows 95.
Hydros
- Hydros, Tidal Knight
- Healing Waters (D) now has a 1% chance to accidentally drown the target.
- Scuttleguard
- Retracting Roll (Q)
- Now randomly plays one of the following tracks when activated
- Limp Bizkit's "Rollin'"
- Adele's "Rolling in the Deep"
- Chamillionaire's "They See Me Rollin'"
- The theme from Rawhide (Keep Those Wagons Rolling)
- Now randomly plays one of the following tracks when activated
- Retracting Roll (Q)
Ryme
- Now wears hammer jammers
- Added voiceovers that include current top hip-hop hits!
- Frostcaller
- Now calls you at the worst time.
Vela
- Deadeye
- Renamed to "FPS Doug"
- If the Deadeye hits a Marked target, the Deadeye now yells "BOOM! HEADSHOT!"
- Bring your tanks. I got frags, I got frags!
- Deadeyes can now be controlled in First-Person mode.
Vex
- Vex, Heart of the Volcano
- Has a new ultimate ability!
- Has a new ultimate ability!
- Has a new ultimate ability!
- Has a new ultimate ability!
Mercenaries
- Juggernaut
- Now has a helmet that you shouldn't mess with.
- Artillery Cube
- Now properly wears the company logo

- Now sometimes causes the game to crash, but only when it's really overworked and doesn't have enough help.
- Motivator
- Now gives inspirational speeches to affected units
- Teleporter
- Renamed to Transport.
- Transport
- Name unchanged. We just wanted this to be as confusing as possible.

- Sold to New Orleans
