Some quick thoughts on art for Hive.

Deaucalion

As someone who is a little invested in the Hive squad, I wanted to put in a quick two-cents about the final art execution.

For the egg mines, the most obvious depiction would be a baneling-esque “glowing orange bubble on legs.” However, I think a “crawling frag grenade” look would probably be more in keeping with the spikey, triangular aesthetic of the red faction.

Since Hive also has a burrowing theme, some cute little mole cricket paws might look good on the Scarab.

But please don’t do this : )

Just some thoughts. I’m excited to see what the art team comes up with.
